When posting on the internet it is easy to forget that you are communicating with other people. Follow these "Golden Rules" to ensure that you are using proper netiquette:
  • Remember the person
  • Follow the same standards of behavior on the internet that you do in real life
  • Know where you are on the internet and who you are conversing with
  • Respect other's time
  • Present yourself well online
  • Ask questions and share your knowledge online
  • Respect other's privacy
  • Be forgiving
